So I guess I'm doing the
#DeviantArtistQuestionnaire ^^
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Almost three years ^^ I have this little counter on my page and it can tell you the exact time.
2. What does your username mean?
Well my name's Amy and I am obsessed with penguins. Even though I don't draw them that much, I have way too many penguin related items(stuffed animals, jewelry, etc.).
3. Describe yourself in three words.
Introverted, Creative, & Smart
4. Are you left or right handed?
Right handed
5. What was your first deviation?
My first deviation ever was some fanart of SATW:
I remember being addicted to the series and I loved Sister Mexico's design. I hadn't gotten my tablet yet and I had recently discovered dA and wanted to try out some digital art. Now that I look back at it, the lines are kinda wonky and the coloring is meh, but I remember treasuring that drawing like it was the best in the world ^^
I also realized that the title is missing the "i" in comic.6. What is your favorite type of art to create?
I just love creating art in general, but if I had to choose something, my favorite type of art would be art that either inspires me or inspires others; or art that helps me improve(like studies).
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I don't really have a style that I want to master, but I guess I would like to master a more realistic style that has proper anatomy(cuz right now, my anatomy is pretty bad).
8. What was your first favorite?
I used to be a huge fan of the Warriors series(and Avatar The Last Airbender) and my first favorite was this stamp:
I remember joining dA and one of the main reasons was to be able to group Warriors and ATLA things, I actually never initially intended to make art.
9. What type of art do you tend to favorite the most?
I favorite a variety of things, but the two main categories are tutorials and cute things ^^
10. Who is all-time favorite artist?
I had to think about this for awhile(cuz I love so many artists), but I would have to choose
DestinyBlue. Her art is just so creative and thought out and just overall amazing
She always has a message/theme behind every piece of art and I constantly find myself relating to what she writes in the description. I remember one time when I had a difficult day and I was feeling extremely depressed, but just seeing her newest post cheered me up.
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I honestly don't really know, but it would probably be
spyed and
DestinyBlue. I would like to meet
spyed because I want to be able to talk to him and learn more about the behind-the-scenes work of dA and I would like to meet
DestinyBlue because(like I said before), she just seems like such an amazing person and I can see myself relating to her in a lot of ways.
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I don't really have one deviant who heavily impacted my life, but just the community as a whole has made my life better in general. Everyone on dA is extremely helpful and during the few times I post a forum with a question, I always get helpful answers from other deviants.
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
I usually use my Wacom Bamboo Tablet and Photoshop CS6, but I also have other art supplies(ex: copic markers, watercolors, prismacolor colored pencils, acrylic paints, crayons, etc) that I'm trying to experiment with and hopefully improve.
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
The place where I create practically all my art is my room. I feel relaxed there and when I'm in there by myself, no one is judging me and that combined with the place itself creates an amazing environment to create my art.
15. What is your favorite DeviantArt memory?
My experience on dA overall has been amazing, so technically every memory is my favorite. However, if I had to choose one, it would have to be when I hit 100 watchers. At that point in my life, I was just creating art and didn't really think anyone would pay attention to it. When I reached 50 watchers, I was already shell-shocked. However, when I got 100, I almost cried. It was one of the best moments of my life.
